The International Jazz Festival, Jazz is Back! BP will gather the renowned musicians from all around the world at the popular Balwan City in Groznjan, and will last from July 14th to July 27th, 2018. The jazz festival is held traditionally in the picturesque ambiance of the town of Groznjan, all thanks to the legendary Croatian musician Bosko Petrovic, that started the festival in 1999. In 2008, the Groznjan festival Jazz is Back! was proclaimed the best European small (boutique) jazz festival by the European Jazz Federation.

In 2010, the Municipality of Groznjan and the sponsors who lent it their support managed to organize the longest festival in Croatia to date. 30 concerts were held with performances of around 140 musicians from over 20 countries worldwide.

Enjoy the beautiful serene town while listening to some of the best jazz players from Croatia and abroad. The entrance to all the concerts is free.

Traditional “Summer Jazz School” will be held from 13th until 28th of July 2018 with mentors: Luis Bonilla (USA), Thana Alexa Pavelic (CRO/USA), Vladimir Samardzić (RS), John Rilley (US), Elvis Stanic (CRO), Hector Martignon (CU/USA), and from 18th until do 29 of July 2018. Karlheinz Miklin is coming from iz Austria.

We also need to mention “Croatia Drum Camp – goes jazz” seminar that will take place from 21th until 28th of July 2018. with respected mentors: John Riley (USA), Howard Curtis (A, USA), Robby Ameen (US, CU), Trevor Tomkins (UK), Petar Curic (CRO).

All the musical skills and knowledge that was gathered by the participants of the Summer Jazz School and Croatia drum camp seminar will be presented on the final mentor and students evenings on 26th and 27th of July 2018.

Euro-Unit and Yamaha are already known as traditional sponsors and partners of the festival, and Euro-Unit will once again be in charge of the complete music production of the festival, including musical instruments, PA and the complete musical equipment on the stage.
