June 14th, 2019 was a beautiful day to visit the wonderful Istrian town of Groznjan, and the occasion was the 50th Anniversary of JMI World Meeting Center Groznjan. But that’s not all. The Municipal of Groznjan awarded 9 musicians and companies for exceptional achievements and contributions of particular importance for the development and reputation of the municipality and the entire area of Groznjan.

Acknowledgments were given to Croatian Music Youth from Zagreb, and thanks to professors and world-famous musicians who have held or conducted various courses for young people, Luis Bonilla, Petar Curic, Igor Lesnik, Andjelko Krpan and Elvis Stanic. The same acknowledgment was also given to companies involved in music and pedagogical activities in Groznjan, Architectural Studio Penezic & Rogina from Zagreb and Euro-Unit, which has been supporting more than 20 years and contributing to events such as: International Jazz Festival “Jazz is Back! -BP “, JMI Summer Jazz School, JM Jazz World Orchestra and Croatia Drum Camp. After the official ceremony and the award ceremony, a special bronze plate was presented for the city of Groznjan by the academic sculptor Stjepan Divkovic on the occasion of the jubilee MKC HGM, followed by the concert of the well-known pianist Vladimir Krpan, whose courses marked the activity of HGM in Groznjan.

We are extremely proud that the Groznjan Municipality decided to give recognition to Euro-Unit as a long-time promoter of music culture, partner and friend of Groznjan. It’s should be noted that this is also a recognition for our partners, especially Yamaha with whom we have been running this project for more than 20 years. On behalf of the Euro-Unit company, recognition was received by CEO Mr. Ivan Sencar.
