Music High School finished second in a row Piano Competition of international character – Memorial Jurica Murai. It is a serious competition, proving five-member jury made up of George Stanetti (Croatia), Zuzana Niederdorfer (Slovakia / Austria), Milan Chernyavska (Germany), Luca Trabucco (Italy) and Yoko Nishii (Japan).

The director of the Music School Davor Matačić proudly pointed out that this year registered 165 candidates from five neighboring countries, different age groups of students in lower grades of primary school to students at music academies.

The music school in Varaždin this year to the participants of the International competition of pianists – Memorial Jurica Murai allowed to perform songs on the high grade instruments, one of which is a piano for the first time used in this region. This is a Yamaha CFX piano that was recently used in the Warsaw International Competition Frederic Chopin.
