Piano Loop festival 2014.
First Piano Festival was held in Split from 16th to 20th in collaboration with the Association – Piano Project and the Museum of Ivan Mestrovic and Gallery Mestrovic. Throughout the five days of the festival recitals held; Armenian pianist Ruben Dalibaltayan, Argentine pianist, composer and conductor Eduardo Hubert and Split piano player with American address Kemal Gekić.
During the festival, pianists were holding seminars for young promising pianists who had opportunity to present to the public their skills and art on the first Croatian Piano Marathon 16.08. Piano24.
Playing under the auspices of Mestrovic’s sculptures young pianists performed works from the world of piano repertoire, together with Japanese participants of the Summer School Kemal Gekić, on the concert “universal” language of music present works of Croatian literature.
The festival ended with awards to the best young pianist after a concert at the Mestrovic Gallery, followed Piano party in 36 minutes improvisation, performing with pianist Matej Mestrovic.
In addition that festival gathered top pianists and teachers, it’s also a great promotion of Croatian tourism and excellent complement to the art content to city of Split.
General sponsors of the festival were Euro-Unit group and Yamaha Europe who for the festival gave grand piano Yamaha C7 EP for 6 days and put it in the ground at Mestrovic Gallery. And this sponsorship is a good example of corporate social responsibility in the community that is more than necessary in these difficult times.
