44th edition of Samobor Music Autumn Festival
The 44th edition of the Samobor Music Autumn festival was held from September 27th until October 6th, 2019. Announcing the program of the 44th Samobor Music Autumn festival, artistic director Srećko Bradić emphasized: “Our idea of a festival ensemble with great Croatian musicians is coming to full notice this year and during the Festival we will present to the audience renowned international and Croatian musicians who guarantee top music performances in Samobor this autumn.”
During the 10 days of the festival, a total of 50 compositions by Croatian and foreign composers were performed, with parts of arias from the opera The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini. Almost 130 musicians performed, as soloists and members of the band, and as members of orchestras, and the festival played a total of more than 16 hours of music.
It is worth mentioning the performances of the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paolo Paroni, Zagreb Quartet, Trio Eusebius, Camerata Bern, Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc from Rijeka and their performance of Gioachino Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, etc. As part of the Samobor Music Autumn, the “16th International Competition for Young Musicians Ferdo Livadić” was also held.
Samobor Music Autumn Festival is organized by the Open University of Samobor and the main music sponsors are Euro-Unit and Yamaha Music Europe providing the festival with Yamaha CFX grand piano.
