Jadran galenski laboratorij, Hartmann, Euro-Unit, Flora VTC and Dm – drogerie markt are some of the companies awarded for socially responsible business behavior.

The awards were given at a conference for corporate social responsibility behavior , for which President Ivo Josipovic  in opening  speech remarked this new ethics of society , business , management of companies and their relationship to the community in which they operate .

On the one hand, he said, it is the relationship of the management structure of the company to shareholders, employees, to society. But also, socially responsible behavior can be viewed from the Government side, and it is important that Government encourages that behavior, through its policy of promoting certain values . These are developmental, social, environmental, cultural, legal value, said president Josipovic.

Business and Trade Minister Gordan Maras announced that the Government is preparing a strategy on corporate social responsibility behavior, which shows how important is this area.

Corporate social responsibility is a tool for sustainable growth and should therefore be treated as an investment, not a cost, said Maras.
