In the Great Concert Hall of the Varaždin School of Music, on Saturday, April 29, the International Piano Competition “Memorial Jurica Murai and Murai Grand Prix” have finished. The city of Varaždin once again hosted numerous contestants from many countries at the Jurica Murai Memorial, where they competed in six categories. The Memorial competition is intended for young pianists up to 19 years of age and the Murai Grand Prix is a competition that is intended for pianists aged 17 to 32, who competed in a single category. A total of 10 prizes was given to the winners, six by categories from A to F, two Grand Prix and two special awards.

Euro-Unit was once again a general sponsor of the competition and together with its longtime partner Yamaha, we secured a valuable prize for the winner in Category A. Yamaha P-45 digital piano was won by Shirin Amiraslanova from “G. Sharoyev Music School”, Baku, Azerbaijan. It is worth mentioning that for this competition like the year before, Euro-Unit lend Yamaha CFX Premium Piano, so that participants have been able to perform songs on the high grade instrument. This year’s competition was yet another great organised international event to remember.
