Elvis Stanić thrilled with Yamaha SLG200N

For live performance at this year’s awards of Porin, famous jazz guitarist Elvis Stanić got from Euro-Unit SLG200N guitar from Yamaha Silent Series. Impression of instrument Mr. Stanić gained after live performances you can see here below.

“Yamaha SLG 200N proved to be definitely the best option for on-stage wired nylon classic guitar! I’ve  tried several top-end nylon options (such as Takamine, Ovation, after all, including my Yamaha CGX171 SCF, but if played at loud stage, it tends to either picks up a microphony, either I have to use exclusively Piezzo, which diminishes the sound in a way.

With Yamaha SLG200N these problems simply do not exist. Mic emulation works perfectly. It’s a true plug-and-play enjoyment – you do not need any complicated EQ settings, simply put all knobs somewhere in the middle position, and the sound of the PA and monitoring is a top-notch classical guitar. Plus, with quite a nice in-built  reverb (which should not be exaggerated), the sound remined of, let’s say, Dominic Miller in Sting’s “Fragile”.

Reminding you that Elvis Stanić is an official promotor of Yamaha Revstar revolutionary guitars  series which has been awarded this year at prestigious IF Design Award 2017.
