3rd international “Varaždin Woodwind & Brass” competition has ended
Yet another international “Varaždin Woodwind & Brass” competition is behind us and we are already anxiously waiting for the next year competition. Euro-Unit was the main sponsor and partner for the third year in a row, so the partnership with The Varaždin School of Music has grown into a tight friendship. From 23 to 31 March 2017 Varaždin has hosted musicians from 12 countries and the event has once again succeeded in promoting music, bringing together several generations of woodwind and brass musicians including students and experienced musicians. Euro-Unit together with a longtime partner Yamaha provided three awards for the competitors.
And the winners are:
- Eva Tribaut (Music School Murska Sobota, Slovenia) won the 1st prize in the discipline flute, Category B (100 points). She received the flute Yamaha YFL-272
- Anej Gorenjak (Music School Ravne Slovenia) won the 1st prize in the discipline trumpet, category A (99 points). He received trumpet Yamaha YTR-2330
- Kiki Szomi King (Music School Domžale Slovenia) won the 1st prize in the discipline clarinet, category B (100 points). He received clarinet Yamaha YCL-255
The awards were presented to the winners by the deputy director of Euro-Unit, Mišel Senčar and director of the Varaždin School of Music, Mr. Sc. Davor Matačić. Congratulations to all the winners and to all participants of 2017 “Varaždin Woodwind & Brass” competition.
