EURO-UNIT and international ERASMUS+ project
The Čakovec School of Economics and Business has obtained accreditation for vocational education and training of students and has adopted the “European Development Plan of the School 2021–2027.” As part of the Erasmus+ project, in which they actively participate, the school welcomed students from its partner school in Ingolstadt, Germany, accompanied by their teachers. During their two-week stay in Croatia, eight students completed professional internships in selected companies and schools in the Međimurje and Varaždin counties.
EURO-UNIT has been successfully collaborating with Čakovec School of Economics and Business for many years, so we once again joined this international Erasmus+ project. From March 17 to March 28, 2025, students Elisa Graf and Laura Wolf from Germany chose EURO-UNIT as the location for their professional internship, which they successfully completed. During the two weeks spent in our company, the students had the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of its structure, operations, and the functioning of all departments—including management, wholesale, retail, service, warehouse, IT, marketing, and e-commerce.
Their experience and impressions after 14 days of internship are best conveyed through their own words:
“During our apprenticeship at EURO-UNIT Čakovec, we had an incredibly enriching and enjoyable experience. The time spent in the store was full of fun, laughter, and learning. We gained valuable insights into the company’s operations and workflows, which helped us understand how each department works together to ensure everything runs smoothly—from customer service to the backend processes. The great team made every day a new adventure. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that greatly enhanced our knowledge.”
Elisa & Laura
As a company known for its corporate social responsibility (CSR), EURO-UNIT, under the leadership of director Ivan Senčar, introduced the guests from Germany to all key aspects and advantages of such a business model, which has been the foundation of the company for 35 years. The students had the opportunity to learn how EURO-UNIT manages its business processes to achieve a positive impact on society and the environment, as well as how the company assumes responsibility in compliance with laws, regulations, and societal interests.
We wish Elisa and Laura great success in their future professional and personal endeavors, with special emphasis on their continued musical education. To make their future musical moments even more enjoyable, we gifted them special gift packages from our partners and the popular US-10 ukulele model from our brand, Ivan’s UKE, as they showed great interest in this cheerful musical instrument.
The collaboration with Čakovec School of Economics and Business continues, including participation in international projects within the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
