Looking forward to Piano Loop Festival 2018

The 5th Piano Loop Festival will take place from 14th until 22nd of August 2018 in Split. Festival organizers Piano Project Association will gather around 35 pianists from around the world. The festival will take place in three segments: concert productions, competitions and master workshops.

During the 9 festival days the following concerts will be held:

14.08. at 20.00 h, Yury Martynov, piano

15.08. at 20.00 h, Igor Lazko, piano

16.08. from 10.00 to 20.00 h, Piano 24 (attendees of the Kemal Gekić Summer School, Grigory Gruzman, Rubena Dalibaltayana, Yury Martynova and Piano Loop Academy) and at 20.00 h Aljoša Jurinić, piano

17.08. at 20.00 h, Natalia Sokolovskaya, piano

18.08. at 20.00 h, Danijel Detoni, piano with string trio

19.08. at 20.00 h, Sergey Korolev, piano

20.08. at 20.00 h, Kemal Gekić, piano

21.08. at 20.00 h, Gala-concert of the participants of the Piano Loop Academy, awards of the festival and at 21.00 h Laureates of Piano Loop Competition (Dominican monastery in Bol – 28th Bolsko lito)

22.08. Laureates of Piano Loop Contests, Award ceremony and closing ceremony

The festival program will include a series of pianist recitals by renowned world pianists Yury Martynov, Igor Lazak, Kemal Gekić, a recital of last year’s winner Natalie Sokolovskaya, young Russian pianist Sergei Korolev, and our Danijel Detoni with string trio. In addition to the classic world repertoire, a special place at the festival is the work of Croatian composers under the patronage of the Croatian Composers’ Society.

Concerts are held in the yard of Božičević-Natalis, Ethnographic Museum Split, and the educational part of the program at the Josip Hatze Music School from August 16th until 20th 2018.

Piano Loop Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the Split-Dalmatia County, the City of Split, the Split Tourist Board, the Croatian Society of Composers and Cantus.

And this year, Euro-Unit and Yamaha are the main sponsors and musical partners of the festival, and for the top performances for all participants, we provided Bösendorfer 225 grand piano.
