Scholarship award in Osijek, with Euro-Unit and Yamaha
Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe (YMFE) is a European non-profit making charity that, above all, is dedicated to supporting talented music students in Europe. Once a year YMFE awards best students across Europe with one-year scholarship. In 2016/2017, the scholarships’ discipline is Piano and in Croatia this honor was given to a piano student, Matea Matić from Osijek Academy of Art. 1.000 euro scholarship has gone to the right person this year as YMFE selects only students with outstanding talent and potential. The award ceremony and the concert of the award-winning pianist took place on Wednesday 24th of May 2017 at the Franjo Kuhač Music School in Osijek. Numerous guests, professors and students attended the ceremony, together dean of the Academy of Arts prof.dr.sc. Helena Sablić Tomić who announced the event on behalf of the Academy. As a longtime Yamaha partner, Euro-Unit has attended the award ceremony. Thomas Schope, the president of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe has personally signed the certificate, and on behalf of Euro-Unit as a Croatian Yamaha distributor, the scholarship certificate award was given to Mata Matić by Euro-Unit’s representative Goran Matijašević. Euro-Unit also wishes to congratulate to Mata Matić to her success and scholarship, and we wish her all the best in future musical career.
