The final concert of pianists of the Ivan Matetića-Ronjgova Music School was held on the 26th of May 2024. in the Church of St. Francis in Pula, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment and operation of the school. In addition to excellent performances and applause after each session of the young pianists, awards were given for achievements and successes in the recent school competition, as well as for all school achievements this year. A special prize is a medal made by the sculptor Jadranka Ostić, and there are also prizes from the main music sponsors Euro-Unit / Yamaha, who have been following young musicians in Pula for years. As the piano department is numerous, the activities throughout the year leave a nice mark with an emphasis on the concert dedicated to the baroque on the occasion of the birthday of the great J.S. Bach, winter field lessons in Zagreb and a visit to the Lisinski hall with education and viewing of old pianos on display, and a series of competitions in which students of the Music School Ivan Matetić – Ronjgova Pula participated: Sonus Križevci, Damir Sekošan Osijek, Daleki akordi Split, UnaCorda Kastav, and meetings in friendly music schools. The progress of young musicians is exceptional and we wish them a successful continuation of their musical education, which would not be possible without a team of quality pianist teachers. Thank you once again to all the teachers and students of the Music School of Ivan Matetić – Ronjgova Pula for the wonderful cooperation.
