Blasmusikfest 2017 ended in Split

Organized by the Central European Association of Cultural Cooperation Associations of Central European Countries and Euro-Unitas the General Sponsor, from April 20th to April 23th, 2017, Split was hosting eight international festival of wind orchestras “Mitteleuropa Blasmusikfest 2017”. Festival participants, orchestras from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania and Croatia competed in two senior categories (B and C) and one youth category D. The awards were distributed, on behalf of the organizers of the five jury members, from the sponsor Yamaha, Mr. Thomas Capelmann and the representative of Euro-Unit Mr Mišel Senčar.

In Category B, 1st place was won by “Musikverein Leopoldau” (Austria) awarded with Conorus TB1180 Bb thrombone, 2nd place won “Musikgesellschaft Ins-Morigen” (Switzerland) awarded with Student Trumpet (Conorus TR.501 Bb)

In Category C, 1st place was won by “Kybartai Orchestra Vilnus” (Lithuania) awarded with Student thrombus (Conorus SL.501 Bb), 2nd place was won by HGD Mosor Klis (Croatia) and awarded with Student Clarinet (Conorus CL.501 Bb)

In the youth category, 1st place was won by the “Musicale Giovanile Orchestra Condovese Monteverdi” (Italy) awarded with Trumpet (Yamaha YTR-2330).

The best conductor award was received by Mr. Donatas Zieogoraitis of “Kybartai Orchestra Vilnus” (Lithuania) and the best performed compilation piece was won by the “Kybartai Orchestra Vilnus” (Lithuania).

President of the Organizing Committee of the Festival prof. Damir Milić thanked all of the participants for making this event possible. Next 9th International Festival will be held in Rijeka and Opatija.
