15th International String Competition Rudolf Matz
15th International String Competition Rudolf Matz, which was organized by Croatian string teachers and music art school Miroslav Magdalenic from Cakovec held from 20th to 24th March 2016 in Cakovec.
Respectable musical event held biennially, with participants from all over the world, and the most prominent world and Croatian musicians and music educators as members of the jury.
This event, unique in our country and the world owes its popularity to the specific propositions – it is the only competition in Croatia, which is intended for violinists, violists, cellists and double bass player who is competing in the same competition, and there are no age categories, but is categorized by age learning of instrument .
There was 68 candidates from 4 countries – Italy, Slovenia, Russia and Croatia.
Euro-Unit with their partner Yamaha and Pirastro provided valuable prizes for the best participants of the competition, the most valuable prize, Yamaha cello is allocated by the decision of the jury as a special award to Music School who on competition was the most successful young cellist, and that’s School of Music Ivana Lukačić from Sibenik.
